I recently played Demon's Souls after playing DS 1, 2, 3, Sekiro and Elden Ring
Demon's souls was easily the "sloggiest" game out of any FROM game I've ever played. Almost every boss has a gigantic fucking runback and of those bosses a good portion were gimmick bosses who you aren't supposed to beat the first time around unless you luck into the solution.
