That's not really true, he also gets punished in BoB as well, with there being alot of "dead end" endings in that route, like Eito leaving with the boxes, opening the wrong boxes and getting everyone killed, and the G'ie escaping from the boxes when they burned them.

I think ending 39 shows it best, that mindlessly killing people isn't as black and white as you think.
