/jpg/, I come to yo at my darkest hour, I'll be traveling to Japan for the first time in October with a group of friends, one of them goes there often and introduced to the idea of Hatsumōde when it comes to shrines, that our first time visiting a shrine it'd have to be a special, one of my friend's favourite animal is rats so I found him the Otoyo Shrine in Kyoto, my favourite animal is the cat so I'm looking around but almost every single result I get is the fucking Gotokuji Temple with the Maneki Neko statues, I wanna go to a temple that's more traditional than this one, but whenever I think I've found one they have these fucking Maneki Neko statues front and center making the place look like a souvenir shop.
