What you need to understand about Aldnoah is that as we all know it wasn't written by Urobuchi, but further it was written by a man who lives to shitpost. His goal is not to create an ultra serious dramatic sci-fi epic, but to see how ridiculous the shit he can get the director to actually put in the show is. I know this sounds like "i trol u lol" but seriously he mostly does comedy adaptions and weird low budget projects where nobody cares.
