Generally speaking, squads and factions in the Universal Century have their identifying markings. This improves morale and creates a sense of unity among the soldiers. Furthermore, individual aces sometimes have their personal emblems or colors - their presence can have a significant psychological impact on both sides of a battle.
The TR Plan is no exception, each of the TR series suits has a distinct emblem to easily identify it. Starting from GM Sniper III all the way to Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] and [Inle], each had each own emblem. This was carried over to the "II" forms under the TR-6 platform which inherit the names of the previous units. These emblems are unique, each reflects the particular traits of its mobile suit.
They were all designed with a rabbit theme by Carl Matsubara of the Black Otter squad.

>Emblem for GM Sniper III, it was inscribed on the shield. Carl proposed it as the squad marking and it started being inscribed on the shields of his mobile suits and Eliard Hunter's helmet. Later it became [Woundwort]'s emblem as well. It features a hopping rabbit with a shield background - this reflects the Test Team's role as an experimental unit active in space and on Earth. Furthermore, there's an implication they're lab animals just like the rabbit.
