In all fairness if I remember right that him having no personality or goals outside of “kill man infront of me” was something he realized himself and was why he decided to leave the hawks/griffith to do some self searching and think for himself for the first time. then the eclipse happened. That doesn’t excuse him being a pretty mindless character for a lot of the story, but it’s still an action focused comic book about a dude with big sword fighting bad guys so it suits it’s needs
