Most incest outside primary family (like cousins) seems to be genetically safe. Safer than having children at old age at least (like the current Psy op is).

At some point we were just a small bunch of cavemans trying to survive a glacial age, so perhaps recurring to incest between family members was the only way to make our species possible.
