It's not just socially accepted, it's deeply woven into culture. While it's one of the worst drugs IMO

And somehow if you're not drinking you're asked if you have a medical issue or something. Meanwhile even in a relatively liberal society (Holland) I wouldn't tell my colleagues about doing drugs at all outside of admitting I have "tried" weed.

I am now on ADHD meds, so keep in mind I'm technically always on hard drugs, but I find myself choosing to do less or no drugs or alcohol more and more. Recently even went to a techno club and actually had a great time. Probably because it's one of the few spaces that aren't alcie-dominated. I also had a pretty good time at a muslim wedding. The fact that there's alcohol kind of makes it seem like you actually need that shit to be less inhibited or something. Like, if you drink and you look dumb while dancing, it's because you had a few too many drinks, not because you're weird.

I don't really care for massive changes politically/culturally tho. I think a lot of the alcies are still retards without the alcohol.
