It's very easy to take down a drone, you can use buckshot, flak, a water cannon, lasers, another drone, etc. They are incredibly vulnerable.

Tracking is the hardest problem and there is little effort going into it. Visual identification is probably necessary via reconnaissance drones. Then interceptor shotgun drones fly above the attacking drone, automatically firing when it is detected in the spread zone.

This is a fairly cheap method compared with lasers, air defence missiles, etc. However all resources in Ukraine are going towards attack drones. Defensive drones are completely underdeveloped.
