Disingenuous as always, huh? Anon, people are complaining about it given how stupidly heavy-handed it is to the point it feels artificial and hollow, the scene is a trainwreck in a not humorous sense in context. While it makes sense for Noelle since she's an actual gamer girl, it doesn't as much for Susie when she doesn't play as much and yet somehow knows enough about it and when she even picks on nerds about it. The chapter even had something akin to the game she mentions and yet, you don't see Susie such piping up much about it.
The cherry on top of the trainwreck, is that the author's only intent about the whole thing, as if it's a smack across the face, is to say that they truly bonded over a vidya. It's like if let's say a co-worker asked if you watched a movie, you said you only watched a part of it while he finished it until the end, and by the end of the conversation he has the gall to say "Wow man, we sure bonded and got close together, huh?".
If even after all that, you don't get it, let's put it in thr simplest way possible.
It's FORCED.
