the eyes and face weren't a separate object but after reading what you said i decided to try and separate them though edit mode and apply a different texture to each object and it worked. wew lad. thanks for reading my blog

while going in and out of her head in wireframe mode i also realized she has a tongue modeled inside. if i ever figure out how to animate the face etc i guess i'll make that into a separate object too
