There are 10 things every episode/movie needs to be considered great. On an out of 10 scale, add or subtract each point to determine what number out of 10 the episode is. Here are the requirements:
1. Good pacing
2. Animation is above average
3. Voice actors do a good job
4. Music is memorable
5. Nozomu Abe is involved
6. Zero asspulls/high stakes
7. Art direction, colors, composition, and compositing are above average
8. At least one panty shot is present
9. Episode bleeds well into the next episode, and the previous episode bleeds well into this one (or movie has a proper beginning, middle, and end(
10. No flashbacks in the middle of the fight
So for example, the greatest episode so far is Never Give up, Season 2 episode 10, and it hits a whopping 8 out of 10 of these required things which makes it an 8/10 episode, which is honestly impressive in its own right since most anime fail to hit even half of these points on their best episodes. How would you rate the latest movie using this metric?
