Apparently, only authoritarian countries would celebrate WW2 victory with military parades in grand style (probably for the purpose of enhancing national prestige).

Yeah, even in Japan, nobody but some cares about WW2 any longer.
Of course, neither do I.

Now that 80 years have gone by since two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan and the radio broadcast of surrender by the Emperor Showa (who goes by "Hirohito" outside Japan), a lot of TV channels report on how tragic, terrible, and brutal the war was to prevent the memories of the victims to fade away.
I'm not going to lie, I feel bad for all people affected by the war and burnt to death by the two nukes, but I think we should move forward already.
