Nice im Actually in the mood so ill rewrite repost some stuff.
so lets start with the access road. Ideally, you want one official one and one hidden one. use the official one as long it's safe and the mood in the area permits. that is also the road outsider know. some stuff cant be prevented like some inspections or contractors during building or large deliveries, machines.
The road should be still optimized but let's be real until SHTF we all are lazy. Be prepared to hide/destroy the good road!
The hidden road
Make the road look like it goes nowhere, a short dead end. its should tell 100% of the story with one glance. Boring, no mystery
The actual turn continues off at a sharp angle, tucked to the side, easy to miss unless you’re close. Or already in.
Hard to Spot, sharp entry angle means drivers have almost no time to react. Anyone trying to turn has to brake hard, that makes it unappealing for random piss stops.
Look Over There!: Put something ordinary but distracting on the other side, like a weathered “Deer Crossing” sign. Just enough to pull people’s attention away from your entrance. If there is something on the left, you won't look right. What are you going to look at the road sign that say "Springfield 5 miles" or the bushes on the other side ?
Awkward Terrain: Tilt the road a bit. People don’t like stopping on sloped ground, it feels wrong. They'll think meh, ill take the next one.
Disguised Surface, Use bark chips or grass pavers. Looks soft from far away, is solid for those who know. burrow buckets that hold water cultivate Swamp plants that signal this is a mud pit you'll get stuck. make a selection that its clean you dont want a muddy tire track leaving a bush...
Blend It In Let nature take over a little grass, dappled shadows, not too neat. Yet not pristine or complex fresh disturbances should not feel out of place like a burnout in a perfect garden
