The only thing that held Arlecchino back was the lack of a grand twist involving the fatui. Her story quest should have been some kind of revelation about how much the fatui had done to either help or avoid the prophecy from the shadows. Any mystery story (that's what fontaine tried to do) really needs that kind of epilogue hook. I for one is partial to the "poisson was a fatui falseflag operation"
