This part of the game feels like they had something else planned out. There are just too many branching paths here that amount to nothing. For one, you can actually achieve the Independent pit ending if you sided with Jonas and convinced Nazar to join Nico. Why you would want to keep a shithole like that a shithole eludes me but it's an option, albeit very tricky to accomplish.
