It’s US made optic w BUIS for me any day of the week, holosun, EO and trijicon make some A grade shit. Optic costs more than the gun in most cases, it’s the same for the Steyr AUG the aus defence force uses (their optics cost 3-4k). I run a trijicon RMR on a 12ga with an Olight Valkyrie PL3S
Was going to go with ACOG for a .308 precision rifle but they’re apparently harder to use for night vision without the detachable eye piece and rail mount so RMR with a riser + magnifier it is.
There is plenty of domestic manufacturers if that’s what you mean but any Australian made high end rifle will set you back 4k. Oceania precision SP15 is a good one if you want to check that out, pretty standard for what an aussie farmer will be running https://youtube.com/watch?v=PPK8ZrLHq4o
We also make some other really good shit though. I was honestly surprised once you break through the 1-2k budget limit it’s all really good shit
