I don't even have a snarky biting comment, it just genuinely bums me out that I'm a niche WITHIN a niche. To like megaten over more popular JRPGS is one thing but even within that I like concepts that are clearly not popular within the majority of the target audience and I will never be catered towards again. Coming to terms with the fact that my favourite franchise will probably never deliver a game that ranks higher than a 7/10 to me ever again is hard. I really want some sort of impossible miracle backpedal but I know it'll never happen. The only solace is that theres a few untranslated games I have yet to play
