Meanwhile at Luna II, Zeon's offensive against the space fortress ends in total failure as the bulk of their space fleet is annihilated. Kycilia and Dozle are forced to escape from their prized Gwazines, while Gihren is left to fend for himself at the heart of the fortress against the Federations central fleet. Surrounded and unable to escape, Zeon's Supreme Commander surrenders himself to the Federation, confident he supporters will launch an even greater offensive to secure his freedom. While much of the Earth has fallen to Zeon, the space front now lies in jeopardy over the Zabi's disastrous invasion plan.

Meanwhile at Odessa, Ramba is able to finally secure an audience with Char, along with learning of what had occurred in India with a valuable asset of Zeon being taken by an unknown young man.
