The IDF has announced the death of a soldierwho was killed in northern Gaza on Wednesday, July 2.

The soldier was:

Sergeant (Sgt.) Yaniv Michalovitch, 19, from Rehovot, and had served in the Armored Corps 82nd Battalion, in the 'Sa'ar Magolan' 7th Brigade.

In addition to Michalovitch, a tank commander and an armored corps soldier were also severely wounded in the operation.

In a completely separate incident in northern Gaza, a soldier from the IDF’s Egoz unit was also severely wounded.
