Not as close as I'd like honestly, I can tell he doesn't like the person I've become, he doesn't like the way I manage my family or raise my kids, he doesn't like my views on pretty much any social or economic issue. We are cordial and spend holidays together and stuff, I do enjoy my time with him but there's this sort of undercurrent where I think he feels like he failed to impart his moral values to me, and I think he blames me for "corrupting" my younger siblings as I'm the oldest, but my opinion on that is that we all came to the same conclusions separately.
