I think Blaze is only forgotten about because her dynamic with Silver is boring and the serialized format of IDW makes her feel like she's bumming around. When she's alongside Sonic and the story is focused on their bond, I think its even better than Sonic and Shadow. When she's with Amy, Cream, and Marine she's allowed to be more expressive, even in a casual setting.
