For win10 I could switch to some weird fuck iot version with support until 2032 but win10 is falling behind in tech - as an example, dealing with .heic images is a total shitshow and most phones nowadays shoot photos in .heic (inb4 use jpeg/raw)
alternatively there's win 11 but is it even possible to unfuck it? it's blatantly obvious that microdick wants all your data ever, so you'll have to struggle with their bullshit every update, which seems very tiresome to deal with long-term

I kinda dislike macos for everything except codeslop and linux is macos but worse so the alternatives aren't great either
