Remove the networking / socialising element of university and what do you have left in terms of academic benefit?

There will be people enrolling in colleges and universities this September to study 3-5 years only to find upon graduation that a computer program that was in operation in 2025, could produce higher quality output than what they can produce in 2030 after having finished their degree. Which is to say nothing of the quality of AI output in 2030 which will presumably be insane.
