We're surrounded by audiovisual heroin. It's infinitely more fun for me to write this, fill out the captcha and click submit than literally anything else I could conceivably be doing today.
I try to argue with my brain about it but I don't exactly have a leg to stand on. Every time I "win" the alternate activity just turns out to be boring or depressing the end.

Don't really get anything out of it. Nobody talks to you unless you're a woman or very charming, which I'm certainly not.
My last trip was just me walking around some Dutch city being completely invisible to everyone. Went to an event full of like-minded autists and... made no friends. How rewarding, right?

That's fine now and then, but attempts to branch out usually result in me blowing $50 on something I don't like, so best not to do that too often.

I guess seeing something like, I don't know, Antarctica in person would be exciting. Fucking expensive though. Gotta work a lot more years, and even then there's always gonna be more important things to spend the money on, so...
