Vol'jin rebelled because Garrosh tried to have him killed. Which happened since Vol'jin was sabotaging his plans and fomenting antagonism towards Garrosh on the sly. Baine rebelled because Garrosh killed his father in a mak'gora that Caine himself challenged Garrosh to (and Garrosh only killed him because his blade was poisoned by Caines old enemy), and Thrall joined the rebellion because he felt the Orcs were turning into warriors and conquerors again instead of the peaceful spiritualists he wanted them to be. Oh and Lor'thremar rebelled because he didn't want his people to be subservient to Orcs, and the Goblins rebelled because Garrosh seized control of the banks and financial institutions they were using to rip everyone off. No, that is not a joke, that is the actual storyline.
