I actually know a nurse so some inputs if you'd like:
- It can be quite physically straining and isn't unlikely to cause back problems and similar things
- working hours will (in most cases) include ample work at odd hours
- high level of responsibilty
- wages here have gone from atrocious to pretty good in the last few years but that may rebound once more workers are available / the elderly die off
- big plus: nurses are needed EVERYWHERE, so there's always another potential employer unless you fucked up royally. Easy to find work in another town if you desire to move
