So the Folio Society books are more for display, not actual reading? I mean, I kind of get it on one hand, but I'd also like to be sure they're actually decent quality paper that won't simply tear up easily or deteriorate too fast.

I'm primarily interested in getting the Earthsea, Dune, Gormenghast and Book of the New Sun collections.
