All this tells me is that third-party publishers may sell as many units of software as Nintendo's first-party games, but only if they're priced far lower than Nintendo's games. So, it still rings true that Nintendo consumers don't want third-party games on their Nintendo. If they did, they'd spend just as much on third-party games as they do on first-party games.
Additionally, Nintendo is the only platform where first-party sales in units or revenue are that high. Playstation, Xbox, Steam, Google Play/App store, etc are all dominated by third-party titles.
