This. DF story is the most coherent, involved, and puts you as the hero of the story. But the DF zones are generic.
AD story is a little less interesting, and is much more about politics and solving internal problems. Though Reaper's March is unfiltered kino, and feels like a totally separate adventure. The zones are much, much cooler, with one serious stinker (Malabal Tor).
EP story is a complete shit show that starts off really strong and falls off a cliff. The zones are all decent, but the DLC zones in the same regions are 10x better.

I would only bother doing it if you're an autist worrying about achievements. The only other benefit is that all the DLCs have callback NPCs and it's amusing to see them again doing their shenanigans.
