You can only pick so many realistic elements before it gets really, REALLY dull. Expanse had to do away with realistic acceleration and fuel capacity for fictional ultra-efficient engines. Honor's realism is the massive distances and military tactics/strategies with the provided technologies. At least it's a step in the right direction away from childish slop towards something more intelligent. Their propulsion/shield tech is a genuinely neat scifi concept that's novel.
