It's a golden period for very heavy Heavy Metal music. Quite why so many bands that define Death Metal music had their debuts between 1979 to 1990 is an interesting topic that I've never quite got to the bottom of. Presumably the 1970s laid the ground work and the bands we were to follow and see at the Marquee and Astoria in our ex-army boots and combat trousers picked up a trend, re-shaped it and sold it back to the kidz.
