I’m an American trans woman, and I never realized how good American trans women had it until I visited Europe, and started interacting with the European trans community.

Never in my life had a met so many trans people who had been openly trans for like 2 or 3 years but literally were not on HRT. It was incredibly depressing to see.

In the U.S. the more prescription drugs doctors give you, the more money they make. Because of that system, doctors were literally BEGGING you to prescribe you HRT, regardless of your age or medical diagnosis. Not only that, but most clinics would literally give you as much as you asked for. While my British trans friends were like 7 fucking years away from getting a single crumb of HRT, my American trans friends who had known they were trans for like 2 weeks were literally getting seizures from the amount of HRT they were bring prescribed.

Not only that, but the United States was (and technically still is, but we’ll see how long it lasts) one of the only countries where you can get extensive gender affirming surgeries for free. I’m on my mom’s healthcare plan, and I’m literally allowed to get $100,000 worth of surgeries for free, as it’s all covered by insurance.

Also, Joe Biden was the greatest freedom fighter for trans people that we could possibly ask for. He literally called trans people “the civil rights fight of our time” and did an interview with Dylan Mulvaney where he talked about the importance of trans rights and access to trans healthcare.

BUT ALL OF THAT IS PROBABLY GOING IN THE GARBAGE NOW BECAUSE OF TRUMP. WE LITERALLY HAD IT ALL. THE UNITED STATES WAS BASICALLY A TRANS UTOPIA, AND NOW ITS ALL FALLING APART :(((
