At first, my friend made up excuses like "drinking alone isn't that bad, it's actually kinda cool and melancholic like I've seen in media", "I'm young, my body can tolerate this", "I can only enjoy this activity if I'm drunk", "I like feeling dizzy, it helps me forget the dull aspects of life" and that he could refuse to do so at any time.
