Concerning Cathay, I'm a bit mad that they seem to wrap themselves in their virtue by being "sensitive" to not "mix different cultures," while other factions (Kislev...) are a glorious mishmash of totally different cultures. In addition to the faction being too Mary Sue for my taste, there is also too much parallelism between Cathay and China.

The group I play with is (mostly) English-speaking, so it's (mostly) foreigners, but there is also at least one other group I'm aware of that is (mostly) Japanese players in Tokyo.
You also have more than a few people playing Warhammer Renaissance, which I want to try. Overall, as I said earlier in my post, the GW hobby in Japan is growing a lot recently.
