This is disingenuous, it's very clear she's meant to act as the Tails to Blaze as Blaze is parallel to Sonic. Just like Cream is supposed to be the Tails to Amy, her little sis in a sense, but this series is allergic to letting female leads have a little girl sidekick because they must be sidekicks to the guy characters instead.
