Under the common western ("Unified") MMA rules, you can't kick or stomp to the head of a grounded opponent
In some rulesets (PRIDE FC rules particularly) you could, and it sometimes worked (gif related)
But sometimes didn't and you would get wrapped up and stuck grappling anyway
