You see, the problem specifically is that the wheelchair is not an answer to an in-setting issue. It's not a response to the character being disabled, it's not a common fix to problems in the world, and it's most certainly not presented as a measure that characters in the setting would take outside of this extremely narrow narrative circumstance. The entire point of this is to tick off a box in a corporate suit's Diversity Chart™ so they can report it to another ccorporate suit and get another $10M in loans so they can mismanage their current finances for a bit longer. Making a "cool" wheelchair would involve them making something fun and magical, which would then suggest something other than the box-ticking matrix wants you to see.
