>Getting people connected up to the deep web is going to be a way to make money
unironically darknet is "cheaper" than freenet because instead of politics and economical mammoths chewing up the Internet "freedom" and getting fat on it, darknet went further with the research and rolled out p2p websites (without a single host), truly anonymous browsing (not VPN) and "free access" (ok, it's piggybacking onto clearnet right now but you could expect dial-in terminals via radio)
it's parallel networks that are going to be the future, which is already happening and even people that worked closely with the state just outright abandoned the mainstream platforms
the only thing that the coons "managing" the internet like ARIN or W3C have done since then is to just pamper all the commercial entities and provide them with better standards to spy on people instead of making progress
you can dick around but go figure most people are not that dumb so they'll catch up on your real intentions pretty fast
