I've been trying to study Mazdaean history, and it is so much worse. There are entire centuries where nobody knows what the true state of Iranian religion actually was. (BTW, Apollo = Morning-planet-Mercury = Al-Ilah.) The majority of Arabs were "Sumerian Heptatheists" long before Islam rolled in.
