I don't blame a fictional character for their faults, because they're, you know, fictional. I blame the writers. Get too emotionally attached to a character and they'll NEVER let that character suffer or be called out. And if they ARE called out, it will be quick and gentle.

I like Rarity, but I can't deny that she can do annoying shit that'll be treated as okay or quirky. Like the whole flirt with Spike to keep him obedient shit they kept doing.
