That is a little different from what i have heard while researching these laptops. The grid density matters yes, but allegedly the digitizer is at fault. It interpolates it wrong which can be allegedly improved via proper calibration but either the laptop manufacturer is cheaping out or wacom is purposefully gimping the digitizers in these laptops so there is a reason to get their hardware instead. And any sort of smoothing after the diditizer sends its data is more like a bandaid than a fix. I think that is more likely that the manufacturers just don't care enough. Good models that track well are made seemingly at random with their price not affecting their quality.
Anyways what do you think about how the laptop i posted fairs? I think the difference between krita and photoshop in that video might have something to do with default smoothing settings or something.
And it looks like the pattern is different between devices. Picrel is how my e-reader with an active pen does it. Its not wavy but straight instead.
