Three successful movies from one of the biggest companies in the business will do that. Sonic Prime might have been a dud as a show, but Frontiers and Generations X Shadow sold well, and thank to said partnership with Paramount, the next Sonic racing game is gonna have Spongebob. At this point they might as well make Fortnight skins, just have Sonic, Tails, Shadow and Eggman and you're set. The only way this hype for the series is gonna stop is if the next mainline game is shit like Boom or 06, and I don't see that happening.
Just wish the comics were good.
