I feel like Tears of the Kingdom will be (already is?) remembered way less fondly than Breath of the Wild. The more you liked and got invested in BotW the worse TotK was for you. The best way to experience it seems to have been if you played and finished BotW once in 2017 then forgot about it completely until TotK came out in 2023, that way you'd remember the bare minimum about the story and especially the world which would make TotK feel like a fine sequel in the same map. If your sequel gets better the less invested you are in the first game, there's a problem. That means that basically moving forward if you're to play the entire franchise you should either rush through BotW (which is the better game, because it was made first with no original intention for a sequel and thus is the one with the most care put in the presentation of its world) so TotK doesn't bore you by being 99% the same, or you take your time with BotW taking it all in and then... get bored and drop TotK five minutes in.
