It's the best we could hope for as a Superman movie for general audiences in 2025. He's caring and kind, and hopefully that image of him will be sustained now. I just wish he wasn't a naive jackass who has the emotional depth of a teenage boy.
As far as adaptations go, the DCAU is still the gold standard for me. A nice synthesis of Post-Crisis/Byrne, Silver Age, Bronze Age, and Golden Age/Fleischer.
