I know Splatoon is super popular, but Nintendo's focus with Smash is more about adding third party character gimmicks and there's little chance the new Smash roster will be as expansive as SMU's. Maybe we get a few Splatoon echo fighters or DLCs, but it's hard to expect anything beyond the basic box art inklings. Idols will just be trophies again and Agent 3 is the designated main fighter of the series.
