Looking at the decks, it seems like Vivi and Cecil are the only ones that see any amount of play, outside of alternately named copies of existing cards (Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer as Zidane) or old cards with new FF art (Elidibus as Dark Confidant). Vivi costs $50 and Cecil costs $3. There also seems to be a sort of tertiary Landfall deck with Sazh, Sazh's Chocobo, Traveling Chocobo, and Tifa. You just know.

Looking at Commander, Y'shtola is apparently the best Commander/EDH deck right now, and she costs $5, probably because she's already in the Commander deck and you don't need to RNG her. Sephiroth also seems to be a good Commander deck right now, and he costs $40. Actually, a fair few of the Final Fantasy characters seem to be popular Commanders right now, but they are all cheap cards other than Sephiroth. Anything outside of that (meaning, their usability) would probably be driven by collectors, meaning that the most expensive cards - if they are not the rarest in the set, which they might very well be - would be decided by the fanbase that is most likely to buy merch. These fanbases seem to be VII and X fans, with an honorary mention to Lightning. Possibly worth noting, the most expensive Cids are the XVI and XIV ones.

Side note, I had no idea that MtG had a fucking Sonic collab too. God damn, what a shit game it has become.
