I really bit off more than I could chew with my entry, but I'm glad I manage to send something rather than nothing, let alone improve the ways I've usually draw (lighting, shading, experimenting), so cheers to a better Round 2 either way.
Here's my votes: (discounting team members and their opponents)
Part 1
Tathtib: Hemma
-Hemma's entry felt more coherent as a story thant Henry's entry, really enjoyed reading it through the pages without getting lost in order, also the climax was brutal.
Sphinx: Ririna (Caddi was too late)
-As much as I'm not into Ririna's uh... eccentric tastes, I have to admit, the entry left a more lasting impression that Caddi's entry, most in how batshit and off the rails it went, especially towards the Hercules reenactment. Also Caddi's entry was sent too late, so automatic vote : P
Golden Scarab: Leon the Lizard
I like Leon's entry more, because it went wild with the idea of racing towards a thingamaijg, and crammed in many silly obstacles and gags that made this whole thing more memorable, yet managed to reign it in a little to not feel bloated or disjointed.
Anubis' Trial: Marox
-If you haven't noticed by now: I have a tendency of admiring entries that really excel at what they wanna be, either the storytelling, tone, plot, and I actually like Ana's entry cause of those, but honestly, Marox's (or Roxie's) entry just takes the cake for me, seeing his journey through out the pages, trying to spare his life for the rest of his pals, seeing Anubis' son was cute being less of a menacing god and more just a nice guy dreaming to be a idol artist (nice reinterpretation of egypt's mythos btw), and the gay kiss was pretty funny, it's really how the plot and the character interactions really gel together to make a pretty heartwarming entry, and with how long this review has gotten, it's obvious this was one of my favorites of R1, Marox-Anon, you have my respect.
