I don’t think so. They have over the top acting, overly choreographed suspense scenes, characters doing dumb things, and rushed endings.
Watching Psycho and the shower scene is so laughable today with the over the top screaming, music, and ridiculous “stabbing”. Then when Norman appears dressed as his mother at the end, me and my friends all laughed
I think Hitchcock films should be appreciated for what they did in moving filmmaking forward at the time but they don’t hold up for modern viewers. Thoughts?
