Anon, it's called a good story. Do you think a good mystery novel is engagement slop? Do you think people speculating between books is a psyop? I get we're in an age where this is rampant but the base mechanics of excitement and anticipation predate its mass monetization through any means possible, this is base human creativity when faced with a vacuum. The whole point is to make sense of it by inherent design and try to attune to the same wavelength, its not "engagement bait", it's base human instinct and behaviour, it came free alongside your need to fuck a girl and raise a family.
